Light at the end of the tunnel

Ptarmigan Tunnel.

Every employee wants to feel the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel.

The light, far away, brings hope.

Hope is a great strategy, but a poor tactic.

Be your own light at the end of your own tunnel.

It’s a great strategy.

Action is the tactic – your best tactic – you must master.

Fear, doubt, tradition, conformity. All of these inhibit action.

The only way to get to the end of the tunnel is through action – moving forward even when it’s dark and uncertain.

Transformational catalyst?

The photo App will change film making. Can’t wait.

Transformational catalyst means that some small spark ignited a desire to transformationally change.

To not look back.

To move forward in an almost impossible way.

A way that’s unprecidented.

Hopeful.

PS. It’s my business vision: To be a transformational catalyst.

Grizzly Bear leadership

Such a majestic creature. Watched it for 20 minutes last night at Two Dog Flats. Video clip below…
The Grizzly Bear is about 100 meters away…a dark speck in the photo’s center.
The magnetism of a single creature.

Grizzly Bear leadership revolves around the Grizzly’s power and tenacity to survive as well as the reverence and the mystery humans have for Grizzlies.

To see one, even from a car, and even from afar, is a moment no human will forget.

To photograph a Grizzly in the wild feels like a bucket-list accomplishment.

To be close enough to primordial reality – wild animals in the wild.

Chamber of Commerce weather

Thankful we got this view from the Grinnell Glacier Overlook hike two days ago. The weather couldn’t have been more conducive to great hiking conditions.

Chamber of  commerce weather is a phrase used to describe ideal weather in the Chamber’s heartland.

That’s the weather Djuan and i experienced the day we hiked up to Granite Park Chalet.

Yesterday, however, was the opposite weather, had we stayed last night.

Approximately 8:00 AM yesterday.
About 9:00 AM.

Neither of us wanted to leave behind our second night – and the final night of the Granite Park Chalet 2019 season – yet we knew it was the right (tough) call.

Personal leadership requires focus and discipline.

Same at work.

Be amazed and be amazing.

Like a girl

Brittney solo-summited Mt. Reynolds and ensured i descended in a safe manner. i never saw her as a girl, i saw her as an expert.

As a member of Dan Cockerell’s leadership group, his newsletter hits my inbox once a month. He shared this video…

Like a girl means something inspiring and bold to a new generation of girls.

Thank goodness.

Their vision of what “like a girl” means is a game-changer.

Hey men, wake up and stop the unconscious biases. i have work to do to eliminate unconscious bias in every area of my life as an older white male.

You’re privileged when your privilege is invisible to you.
