Superhero DNA

Disney toys in the mountains
Superheroes. Also known as Supers.

Superhero DNA.

What?

A Super, even non-commissioned, retired, or on the witness-protection plan have this thing in their DNA.

It’s called helpfulness.

Supers are born to help.

Even if it gets them in trouble.

Wondering if NATO will become a Super.

Leadership karma

Mountains
Mt. Reynolds, right. Photographer unknown. Taken from Bearhat Mountain.
Mountains
My iPhone Mt Reynolds-summit sketch. This line gets you to the final climbing area. This is an easy place to get lost. There is no trail. There are few hikers, if any, who will be able to help. Reynolds is 9,200′. God Graced me with the ability to solo summit on my third summit. My first summit was 2020. Second summit was 9/11/21. Third (my first solo) summit was 9/13/21.

Leadership karma.

Pray for your aggressors.

Pray that they may come to an awareness of their pain’s causes.

Pray for their healing.

Pray they become grateful, peaceful and confident in their role as CEO of You (Themselves), Inc.

What about Glacier?

mountains
Western side of Glacier National Park (GNP). One 50-mile road traverses GNP East to West. One-million acres. Over 700 miles of hiking trail. Approximately 300-400 Grizzly Bears. Two historic high-mountain chalets. One of them pictured here, lower right quadrant, sits at 6,600′.

What about Glacier?

Someplace other than the beach?

Mountains sounded perfect.

Glacier National Park sounded bullseye perfect.

i knew enough about Glacier to be confident it had the best potential of any other options.

Unlisted 2022 trip

notes on a napkin
August 25, 2019, with Jody Maberry at Rising Sun Motor Inn. Each quote is expanded in the next blog.

Unlisted 2022 trip is the annual meetup with Jody Maberry.

We have met and hiked (and worked) together for the past four years. Jody and i are fans of streaks. So we’d hate for our GNP streak to end.

It almost ended last year, but in the 11th hour, Jody was able to fly out for the last few days of the 2021 season.

Weeping Wall

Weeping Wall is a memorable location.

To be in this place, with no cars, for the entire day, is remarkable.

Unrushed.

A definite “how bad do you want to do this” endeavor.

All the creeks and waterfalls are on full blast.

Stunningly quiet without vehicular motor noise.

Occasionally noisy with joyous and exuberant yelling.
