Last week I told an influential person where I’ve been working for the past 27 years that I’d like to begin the dialogue for retirement.
WHAT?
Exactly.
You know, to understand what my options are when I reach retirement age at 55.
It’s less than four years away.

When pursuing your dreams, there’s one more success secret you should know.
Well, it’s not really a success secret, it’s simply common sense.
Know what it is? First and foremost, it’s what we call in America, a no-brainer, because it’s so obvious.
On your journey, make sure you start early.
You know, don’t wait until the “last minute”.
I had the opportunity to practice this last week, nearly four years early….
You focus on it.
And then you never stop focusing on it.
You make your most important messages so simple, even a 5-year old could understand it.
If you don’t understand this, you will never be great.
Does someone need a nap?
So many business professionals think they know Twitter. They think you Tweet something and the world sees it.
Yeah right. Rubbish.
How do I know? Because I know more about social media than most people.
And there are quite a few who make me look like a beginner. They are years ahead of me, and you.
Social media will not work for you unless you are patiently and consistently using it yourself to promote your own message, and can see your own metrics, to understand what works and what doesn’t.
Some of my friends work in healthcare. You have friends who do too.
My Family has been in and out of hospitals many times. You and your Family have too.
There’s this one particular hospital, say 1,000+ employees. They have a vision/mission like every other company.
There’s not one person who doesn’t know what it is.
