New crew at the camp store last night

Different shop, same company.

My original Jungle Cruise hat was even sillier.

New crew at the camp store last night.

Mike rang up my ice-cream sandwich and Keith ran my card for Cheryl’s shirt.

As we talked i listened intently (like always) for information that informs, inspires, and sometimes, entertains.

As soon as Keith mentioned they both work in the corporate office, i seized the opportunity.

Keith spent six years at Yellowstone and followed Mike to Headquarters in Columbia Falls. They were filling in for the closing shift so their retail team could team-build and relax on a boat ride.

Do you think someday you’ll wish you had been there to witness these experiences (and learn from them), or do you feel like you see enough?

Being off the grid is overrated

wildflowers
No internet required for this. But that doesn’t mean the internet doesn’t make life better.

While i’m not a shopper, i did enjoy doing it with Cheryl, as our shoes dried while we walked around in West Glacier.

Having a slow ATT signal was better than none at all.

i know you enjoyed the grid.

i did too.

Why do so many people think we need to get off the grid?

Remember our conversation about using the internet for good versus using it as a drug?

Did you know long ago i dreamed of being a Park Ranger at Glacier?

Did you know long ago i dreamed of being a Park Ranger at Glacier?

Here’s a piece of advice from the fact it never happened: Working hard for a living, and living in that dream, may be a trap.

Many of the interns here at GNP love being here but often have to work so many hours it’s challenging for them to spend the quality leisure time from their dreams.

Career reflections from the Highline Trail hike

Grinnell Glacier Overlook
If you look close in the very center (there are people), the trail is steep and long.

The perfect combination in the midst of strenuous challenges

Shade is so necessary.

Our lunch break was a perfect combination of shade, cool (temperature) rock seats, and a nice view.

While we hadn’t made it halfway yet, it was great to have rested legs for the Grinnell Glacier Overlook hike.

By far the toughest part of the trail was the 1,000-foot elevation gain on the half-mile spur.

Like we had talked about, do you feel it would be a decent topic to include in your college essay?

Why?
