Your thunder says it all

What i do thunders so loudly, no one can hear what i say.

Note : This is a derivative of, “What you do thunders so loudly, i can’t hear what you say”.

Make success easy, work

Make career success easy.

Create unlimited access to your get-to-do energy.

Eliminate at least 51% access to your have-to-do energy.

Ensure your get-to-do energy has controlling interest in your daily life.

Reach, maintain, and improve on a 51% get-to-do time-and-energy milestone.

Of course it’s challenging to control everything, but 51% get-to-do is definitely achievable.

Bonus: Once you know how to reach and maintain 51% controlling interest, you then slowly apply what got you to 51% to get close to 100%.

Only so many, work

There are only so many things you can do especially well.

Only so many thoughts that summarize the whole work-life volume.

For example: No one on their deathbed ever said, “Wish I would have spent more time at the office.”

Big decisions, work

Making that 2008 command decision to retire in 2014 was semi-easy.

The motivation was compelling. Do not squander your son’s final four high school years by being a constant globe trotter for Disney Institute.

This looming decision to permanently quit working is familiar in its potential impact. The key word is ‘potential’. There are no guarantees with potential. Only possibilities, no guarantees.

Note: The original early-retirement catalyst was the 2008-09 USA Real Estate and Banking collapse. This led to Cast Member reductions (aka terminations). For the first time in my 25 years, the reality that no one is safe struck hard. Decided the over-focused thing would be to create a Plan B should the worst ever happen again.

Up your game?

Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Couple days ago.

Most of us don’t know what we don’t know.

Breakthroughs are possible when a person recognizes how much they don’t know, and fanatically pursues closing the gap.

If you’re not fanatical about what you do, yet you think you’re pretty good, maybe it’s time to up your game.

Note: Fanaticism is the only approach that figures out how to keep moving forward when the going gets tough. And the going always gets tough.
