A hotel manager…he or she must have the diplomacy of a Winston Churchill, the social grace of Emily Post, the speed of a jet airplane, the smile of a Greek God, the patience of a saint, the memory of an elephant, the thick skin a rhinoceros, the strength of an Atlas, the staying power of a mother-in-law, the grooming of the Duke, and last but not least, he or she must have a love of humanity, for humans show their worst side when they’re tired and hungry. When he or she is as gracious to associates as to guests, he or she has mastered the art of servicing the public.
