GNP Day 43, work

Three hours on the trail, now concluded.
7-second video: Many Glacier Hotel is closed.

Wishing to be a great leader, personally and professionally, is a great starting point.

To move from starting line to finish line, wishing must be replaced with action.

Lifetime commitment.

The road to excellence has no finish line.

10-second video: Will rain reduce smoke?

Leadership.

Professional.

Personal.

One life.

One option is to compartmentalize the two.

Another option is to not.

Traveling accentuates this.

So does Glacier.

GNP Day 40, work

Restaurant receipt
Gunsight Bar and Grill in Columbia Falls, MT. Driven by it dozens of times. Today we ate there. It was good.
Large mounted wall photo of mountains in snow
Lincoln Lake (lower right). Lake Ellen Wilson (upper right). Gunsight Mountain (upper left). We hiked all over this area the past four days.

Serendipity and karma are cool tools.

Guess who we met at Gunsight Bar? The entire Sperry crew, minus Anne (violinist).

What are the odds?

Literally zero.

Yet here we are.

GNP Day 39, work

Eight Sperry Guests sitting on Lake McDonald Lodge’s lakeside hill.
Two sets of sisters. A couple our age. Plus us. Eight yutes.
10-second video: Mid-September. Calm. Warm. Unhurried. Fun.
26-second video: Didn’t expect a fire. Didn’t expect Bill to play piano.

Ate our bagged trail lunch on the Lodge’s lakeside porch. Heavenly.

Conversation with another (non-Sperry) couple our age. Enlightening.

Spent the afternoon feeling free, at peace, and vibrant. Grateful.

Humbled by the light shining on, in, and around us.
