I was a complete joke, and maybe still am

I was a complete joke from 2003 – 2008, and maybe still am. Laugh if you want, but this applies to all of us. When we look back on our lives in five and ten year increments, we seemed like such a punk “back then”.

What we convinced ourselves was impossible then, is so minuscule now, it’s embarrassing how small we thought “back then”.

Our big, hairy, audacious goals right?

Why do we dream them up if we aren’t gonna go for it?

Sometimes we sit on these for decades.

Four years ago I forced myself to write five daily, differently-themed blogs for 100 straight days (500 posts upon completion).

Now, what was once impossible to accomplish, is now my “surplus-posts buffer”.

So yeah, there are 100 days (500 posts) already written. Done. Waiting. Extra.

Pretty ridiculous, eh?

We thrive, or regret, in proportion to this common, but quiet, opportunity… (freely shared here)

This is day 1,460 of what was supposed to last only 100 days

having a father around is a blessing many boys never get

This is day 1,460 of what was supposed to be only a 100 day (writing bootcamp). It also started as a way for a worried Dad wanting to leave a trial of wisdom for his young Son, in case something bad happened.

Bad things do happen. All. The. Time.

Leading by example has always been common sense.

Milestone Monday, that’s what I’m calling it

Trashed Marlboro box in the sand
take boring and redundant and add deadly to it

Milestone Monday, that’s what I’m calling it. What else would you call it? I mean, Monday marks the beginning of the fifth year of writing five daily, differently-themed blogs.

So four full and complete years equals 7,300 blog posts (365 x 4 x 5= 7,300).

Truth be told, it’s closer to 7.8k.

This is an insignificant fact in everyone’s life except mine. I get that.

What is not insignificant in anyone’s life is the ability to persevere.

And perhaps, that’s the hidden gem in what might seem like a boring, redundant routine…

Midlife spit and polish sounds weird, but will pay dividends

Life has five big choices: mind, body, spirit, money, and hq

Working real hard to add some spit and polish to Mid Life Celebration’s five websites.

Perhaps the illiterate of the future will be those who can’t code.

Code is poetry. – WordPress

Are small business business cards relevant in the digital world?

Not if they’re garbage.
