To each their own, work

American Flag on homeowner's house
The flag went up for Memorial Day 2001 and has remained here everyday since. That’s 25 faithful, consecutive years.

What does it mean to me when i say, “To each their own”?

Every American is free to believe and do whatever they want.

The context, however, is that every American is a law-abiding citizen.

There’s also the context of the obvious American morals.

i am, like you are, free to do and believe whatever i want.

But, i must not take away your ability to live freely.

The easiest way for me, and everyone, to do this is to be a moral, law-abiding American citizen.
