We hiked to Sperry Glacier in 2025. From the airport 35 miles to Lake McDonald Lodge (LML). From LML, 22 miles roundtrip hike with 5,000′ elevation gain and loss. There is a travel hack though. We know it and it’s the only way this worked for us.

Live and learn.

Three keys to living, learning, and growing:

  2. .think .differently
  3. Lean into discomfort

Remove any one of those three and regret grows like a weed.
