What’s your impossible?

Motivational sign in a shopping mall
In 2021, i will…continue to thrive. Note: 2015 was the first full year of “life after Disney”.

Be inspired by the impossible.

Disney led me to blogging

August 2009. Lahti, Finland. Never saw myself representing Team USA at the Master’s Track & Field World Champiionships. Never thought blogging would become a world-record either.

While at Disney Institute (DI) in 2007, i labeled a folder “Web-Log”. To help market DI during 2008’s Great Recession, i started pursuing the idea of DI Facilitators “blogging” about our (DI) travels and capabilities. No one at DI was interested. Too unknown, hence too risky.

Report card

Man smiling in front of bookshelf
Big-picture picture, build your house on solid rock. And build your house out of stone. Recall the Three Little Pigs children’s fable.

Like it or not, my report card gave me a grade for mind, body, spirit, work, and home. A grade for attitude, health, peace, contribution, and organization. It’s taken 61 years – but this is the first time i ever received straight A’s.

You have to know

Personally, i dig common sense, paradox, and world-class questions. You have to know that ignoring the truth doesn’t change the truth.

If you face a serious career setback will a back-up, well-designed Plan B be an asset or a liability? Said a different way, if you face a serious career setback will the lack of a back-up, well-designed Plan B be an asset or a liability?
